We at the Herr and Sunset Hill Funeral Homes are very proud of our staff which is firmly committed to relieving the stress and easing the burdens of the families who depend on us.
Our professional staff consists of licensed funeral directors and embalmers, crematory specialists, office managers and family service counselors.
Through five generations we have continued to believe in the commitment of family service to those we serve.
 | Robert Herr Email: rcherr@herrfuneral.com Robert Herr is 1963 graduate of Collinsville High School and 1966 graduate from Southern Illinois University in Mortuary Science. He was the founding secretary of the Sigma Phi Sigma Mortuary Science fraternity. |
 | Ryan Zinke Email: rzinke@herrfuneral.com Ryan Zinke is originally from Robinson, Illinois. He graduated from Vincennes University in Vincennes, Indiana, in 1994 with a degree in Mortuary Science and completed advanced embalming training at the Fountain National Academy in Springfield, Missouri in 2004. |
 | Lyle Hill Email: director@herrfuneral.com Lyle Hill is originally from Sparta, Illinois and has been a licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer in Illinois since 1972. Lyle holds a Bachelor's Degree from Southern Illinois University in Mortuary Science. He has been an employee at the funeral home since 1991. Lyle is also a licensed insurance producer. He is an elder and very active at the Presbyterian Church in Collinsville and also belongs to the Lions Club in Collinsville. Some of his outside interests are golf and gardening |

John graduated from Kentucky College of Mortuary Science in 1975, and has been a licensed Funeral Director since 1976. John also has a Bachelors Degree in Sociology which he obtained in 1980 from Arkansas State University. |
 | Robert L. Debo Email: director@herrfuneral.com Robert L. (Bob) Debo is originally from the central Missouri area. He graduated from Jefferson City High School, attended the University of Missouri and graduated from Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 1963. He served his apprenticeship at the Houser Funeral Service in Jefferson City and worked at the Carr Funeral Home in Fayette for seven years before purchasing the Browning Funeral Home in Fulton, Missouri. |
 | Timothy Gibbons Email: director@herrfuneral.com Timothy brings 18 years of retail management to the firm, working previously in the central market in Illinois and St. Louis, Missouri and in the southern market in New Orleans, Louisiana and Southern Florida. He graduated the Mortuary Science Program at Carl Sandburg College in Galesburg, Illinois and was Secretary/Treasurer of the Mortuary Fraternity, Sigma Phi Sigma. Timothy collects artifacts from New Orleans such as pencil sketches, vintage snapshots, is a supporter of animal rights, believing in their humane treatment and has a pure bred Bombay Cat named Casey. |

Ron is originally from Collinsville and is a licensed insurance producer in Illinois and Missouri, and holds a Missouri Funeral Directors license |
 | Gina Gonet Email: director@herrfuneral.com Gina, and her husband Joe, has resided in the Collinsville area for the past 25 years. They have two children, Madison and Nic. Gina's past work experience includes extensive work in the floral design and later the orthodontic field before she joined the staff at Herr Funeral Home in 2002. At Herr, Gina is the director of the new Transitions Program and also with all aspects of aftercare. |
 | Pamela Biason Email: director@herrfuneral.com Pam joined the Herr and Sunset Hill Funeral Homes staff in 2007 following a career in the banking industry. She and her husband Rich have been residents of Collinsville since 1987 and have two children, Matthew and Melissa. Some of her interests include reading and boating and she enjoys vacationing with family and friends. |

Since 1967 the Herr Funeral Home has assisted in the training and developing of funeral directors. We feel that education is an important part of funeral service and want to ensure its continuation.
